Are you a busy public sector professional who is eager to dive into hot topics related to Artificial Intelligence and the local government? Join industry peers in a new six-week online, non-credit guided series of engaging discussions designed to explore the ethical, strategic, and operational challenges of Artificial Intelligence integration.
Whether you're working in HR, public safety, planning or another area of government, you'll engage in rich peer-to-peer dialogue and interact with session materials to unpack strategic and ethical questions related to AI use. You will boost your knowledge of current trends and increase your ability to speak to them while you learn from others in the industry and grow your network.
Session Length
The AI in the Public Sector cohort will include weekly sessions spanning July 21st – August 31st, 2025.
What to Expect
Live, Online Sessions: Together, we will dive into real-world examples and applied case studies, share policies and tools, and learn from each other’s challenges and successes. Most of the content is asynchronous—featuring short videos, podcasts, articles, and real-world case studies you can explore on your own schedule. Participation includes a weekly, one-hour online live session to deepen discussion and peer engagement. We understand life is busy, so you can notify your facilitators if you need to miss a session.
Assignments: Your participation will include completing weekly discussion posts, responding to discussion posts from peers, and completing a final project or proposal relevant to your profession.
Gain Insight and Awareness: Complete the program with added practical insights, new resources, and a stronger network—ready to help your organization use AI-powered tools to deliver public value and minimize AI risks.
